VAMPY for Singapore Toy Games and Comic Con 2013

With slightly less than 3 months till the annual Singapore Toy Games and Comic Convention launches August 31st at Marina Bay Sands Convention center, the first slice of news of visiting International Guests is revealed to be cosplayer and personality Linda Le aka VAMPY!


Her attendance to the event was listed via a Facebook posting in which she mentioned: "MY CONVENTION SCHEDULE GOES AS FOLLOWS: ANIMEGACON IN LAS VEGAS, ANIME EXPO, SDCC, STGCC SINGAPORE AND MORE…"

I truly enjoy the cosplay of Linda, primarily because she transverses across both Eastern and Western genre-characters, and include video game characters as well in her repertoire. So what / who will we be seeing for the two days in STGCC? Who would YOU like to see her as?

Cosplay Seen @ Star Wars Day Jakarta 2013 #SWDJKT

Taken hostage by a gorgeous "Rebel Pilot" for suspected "Imperial activities", I ham it up alongside Ms Michelle Clarissa, and I was a happy hostage indeed :)

With an event like "Star Wars Day Jakarta", inevitably there will be "cosplay", and that SWDJKT had in abundance! A healthy mix between solo cosplayers and family-cosplaying saw characters from the Star Wars-lore being depicted by folks attending the event at Balai Kartini, from May 18th to 19th, in Jakarta, Indonesia!

Cosplays I missed included a lone Darth Vader, an adorable Asoka (from Clone Wars), and no Chewbacca in sight tho! Hard pressed to find a Boba Fett too! Others I have managed to swipe via the www and posted below (all images URL-linked to their original Instagrams), which included a JAWA (which I regret not taking a pic alongside with) and a DARTH MALGUS, which apparently was a "first" in Indonesia (and the world???) … Enjoy the snaps, folks! And kudos for folks coming out in cosplay, and I hoped YOU enjoyed yourself at SWDJKT!


Would have been fun to see 2 Jawas going around with R2D2, trying to "sell" him ;p

International Cosplay Day Singapore (ICDS) 2013
