Previews by J*RYU for "Strange Symbosis" @ Giant Robot 2 (May 4)
Posted on 19:00 by omprakash
JRYU previews "SPIDER" (top), "TURTLE" (above) "SNAIL" (below) and "BEETLE" (bottom) - three sculpts of 10 new original "animal based sculptures" in a series he terms "Biorgasmica" - for his coming 4-man show titled "Strange Symbiosis" launching May 4th @ Giant Robot 2' alongside Leecifer, Scott Tolleson and Aaron Brown.
The recipient of "Best Customizer" in the 2012 Designer Toy Awards, seen here are sculpts exuding the intricateness of cultural reference (or perhaps just the impression of them?) and maybe even a slight tinge of technical-organa, it'll be a real treat to see what he'll have up his sleeve for this particular outing.
