I truly regret clicking PLAY on this (posted above) new clip for Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" - which features Superman battling Zod - as it (1) gives away the fantastic battle to be waged, and how it is waged, and (2) a little story-spoiler, which might or might not give you a *gasp* in the cinema … nevertheless, seen it I have, and a warning I will give you folks now: *warning: SPOILERS* … heck, also for all the videos posted below, actually! LOL

VID-DESCRIPT: 'The Buckingham Warrior, a tale inspired by Gary Baseman's father Ben Baseman who survived the holocaust, fighting the Nazi invasion in Ukraine's birch tree forests for almost 4 years. Baseman and Director David Charles transformed his father's harsh reality into a whimsical story of survival and hope, which was animated by Peter Markowski and scored by South-African duo Die Antwoord.
This video was created on the occasion of the exhibition Gary Baseman: The Door Is Always Open, organized by the Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles.'

WHAT-IS: "PopCon" is a shorter word of "Popular Culture Convention", the biggest festive in Asia to celebrate creative contents such as Comic, Toys, Films and Animation from the creator to the growing market of teens and young-adults.
This year's POPCON ASIA happens between July 5th to 7th at the Main Lobby & Assembly Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center. Shown above is artwork from Singapore's very own Clogtwo - who is o ne of the invited artists for the event, and below is a video featuring Indonesia's own Thunderpanda, also on the artist list. Always awesome to see pop culture events pop up, especially in Asia!

I don't watch "Game of Thrones". Don't have an opportunity to follow the series, neither the television series, nor the book from which the tv series was adapted from - I only know of the Pop! Vinyls from Funko … So when folks online went batshit over Episode 9 last night, my curiosity was piqued, and I HAD to find out "WHY" … so it is with a wicked smile I post this SPOILERSUM image (I made) and this uber-spolleriffic link tells you what went down in the last 10 minutes-ish … if you really want to know what happened, of course :p

Brandt Peters has started his own Kickstarter to seek help funding his 140 page (limited edition) sketchbook featuring Brandt's original drawings, toy designs, and concept sketches.
"MUSE 1 marks the very first artist sketchbook release under the Circus Posterus Studios sketchbook series. This first sketchbook focuses entirely on my process, my vision, as well as ideas way before they make their way into production… that raw, black and white electric moment prior to production. I have been meaning to personally produce a sketchbook of my work for quite some time; after much planning, I will be designing the entire book project from start to finish - focusing 100% on my vision and design sense. Much of the concept design in MUSE 1 connects back to actual artwork, toys, prints, and even originals." ~added Brandt.
Seeing this page start out with less than 10 Backers 7 hours ago before I went to bed, and waking up now to see that pledges have by far surpassed the $6,500 goal. Congrats! But that should't stop you from scoring the additions of signed postcard prints and giclee prints, and the ultimate Skelve figure!

Check out the "Publicity Special" featurette of "Man of Steel", which - before anyone baulks at it giving it away the movie too much - may well act as a "idiot's guide" to the film and the lore of Superman and the film, to folks who might not already know and/or expect of the character. Many a times we (the geek kingdom for which we all dwell in) know and understand the character(s), but there might be other who do not, so featurettes such as this might well be an "education" to some, perhaps?
On the same token, you know when folks say "trailers give away the movie"? With that firmly in mind, I would urge you NOT to click "PLAY" on the below-posted fan-made trailer by Renan Mejia, who has strung together the publicly released trailers and TV-Spots thus far, in (pseudo) chronological order, resulting in a near 7 minutes of spoileriffic sequence of events (via). Truly epic - born the above trailer, and hopefully the Zack Snyder-directed film to come!

A 10+minuter by Eric Minh Swenson taking a look at Gary Baseman in this first major museum exhibition of his life and work; "Gary Baseman: The Door Is Always Open" (@ Skirball Cultural Center) as it "explores the influences of Baseman's Jewish family heritage and American popular culture on his exuberant, boundary-defying art."
Am truly grateful to be able to witness the exhibition, being a myriad of miles away, nw merely a computer-screen away. And as well an insight to Gary's work and inspiration. Good film. I am thankful.

And while I had been extremely late to the game for Huck Gee's Kickstarter for BattleTails! - a Android & iOS Strategic Defense Game - which brings Huck's "Gold Life" character designs to game-life, which frankly is extremely exciting, and truly impressive the menagerie of characters created thus far - seen as custom art toys!
And while the Pledge Goal of $50K has since been reached and surpassed, new "Project Stretch Goals" has been added, one of which will feature the infamous "Vampy" as a playable character in his game if it reaches a goal! Check out the Kickstarter page to read more.
