PRESS: "This Sunday, May 12th, Tenacious Toys will release a highly limited series of mechanical, electrified 3-inch Android figures by artist and toy designer Teru Fujita. This series of 8 Androids look at first glance, very much like a normal 3-inch DIY Android figures. Push a small button on the back, however, and the head of the Android lifts up smoothly to reveal a painted face and light-up LED eyes. The price for each Android is $200.
The mechanical parts inside Teru's Androids engage a switch to turn on the LEDs as the head lifts up. The lifting mechanism is spring-loaded, so the head comes back down and the LEDs turn off as your finger lifts off the button."
